A special moment you enjoyed with your family

Friday 22nd January 2010

Hey guys you probably are wondering what the question means right ( well of course as i am too )? Well, what does it really mean? Does it mean to go out somewhere that's really famous ( no i don't think so...)?

Actually, it just means some time that you spend with your family. In short, its FAMILY TIME! Well, what i do with family is just to go out for a walk with them after dinner. Sometimes we go to the lagoon thats opposite VS, sometimes we walk all the way to Bedok ( hey don think i am crazy ok? I live in Siglap so its near to VS ). Some people might think this is not a special moment that you enjoy with your family right? Well, it IS as it lets me and my family to relax and get away from the worries of our everyday life.

Well, Hong Yi plays games with his family to relax. For me, obviously as i have told you, i go for walks. Today after dinner, my family and i just went for a walk at the lagoon. Walking past school, my mum suddenly asked me about what happened at school this week. Then, i told her the funny and sad parts that had happened ( of course lols >.< ).
The whole family laughed as i retold my school life for the whole week.

Well, going for a walk is a special time that i truly enjoy with my family ( sorry for keeping you in the suspense. My family consists of me, my mum, my dad and my very very annoying sister ). It bonds us together so that we can truly understand each other! Also, as we walk leisurely, it can help us to exercise and keep fit physically while we relax mentally ( both sides hehe! ).

As its getting late, i am going to end here for tonight. Last but not least, i am going to post some pictures of the lagoon where we usually go for a walk. Cya ( see you! ) and bye! XD

A problem i encountered and how i solved it

Tuesday 12th January 2010

This morning we had ( which starts after recess )our first chinese lesson as our teacher went for the Sec 1 orientation camp which was very very far away. Well, she introduced herself and we had to write our names on a piece of blank paper and put it on our tables in a tri-angular shape ( so that she can know our names, obviously ).

Then, something unexpected happened. Last year, we had chinese lessons with 1B. However, this year, it was different. I was SO surprised when students from 2E walked into the classroom ( i thought they had went to the wrong classroom ). Well, after writing our names, she asked us to form groups so that it would be more fun learning this way. Straight away, i looked at Hong Yi who was beside me and pointed to me and then to him and then to Dao Yi ( meaning that he, Dao yi and i were to be in a same group as all three of us had became great friends very very quickly this year!! XD ).

However, teacher pointed out that we had to form groups of five to six people ( now i am dumbfounded, who to choose? ). Then, Hong Yi had an idea. Why don't we choose Matthias and Brandon? They were good in chinese and were very co-operative. However, Dao Yi was looking at Nicholas and Jian Zhou (all three of them are crazy about games!!! >.< ) and was pondering quietly. As he was the leader, he chose to let Nicholas and Jian Zhou join the group and decided to kick Brandon out of the group. He didn't even say sorry to Brandon! ( so sorry brandon for you to be left out! i apologise on behalf of dao yi and the other group members! )

After forming our groups, teacher said that we had to make an emblem of our group which had to be handed in the next chinese lesson ( which was tommorow! Oh no!!! )

We were in a dilemma as no one had the time to bring the picture to laminate. Finally, i volunteered to go to Evergreen ( on the third floor of Parkway Parade and opposite Giant ). Yay! Everyone cheered as they did not have to carry the burden of laminating the picture. I asked Dao Yi to keep the picture first and give it to me after school.

However, after school, i forgot to asked the picture from Dao Yi and i smsed him when i reached home. He told me he would go to the popular bookstore at Tampines and laminate the picture ( thanks so much Dao Yi for your help. Without you we would have been scolded badly by the teacher! Go clever turtle!!! ).

Well, its getting late. I am going to sleep now as there's school tommorow. Bye!

Something that took place in School

Saturday 16th January 2010

Something very very unusual happened today (and i mean it seriously its very very weird ). Today i'd table tennis training which started from eight thirty to about eleven ( but it usually ends later as there is PT which stands for physical training and we usually play SOCCER ).

After setting up the table and starting to stroke with Kennedy, i saw some of my friends, Gerald, Daryl and Clifton, entering the school hall and i waved to them. Then, i continued to play matches with my different friends until about ten fifteen before going to break with Jasman, Kennedy and Wayne.

After coming back from break, our table tennis teacher, Mrs Felicia Wong, came into the hall and asked the Sec 2s to gather around her. She then told us it was time to announce the captain and vice captain for the C-division. All of us immediately became silent as i bet everyone that had volunteered to become captain or vice captain silently prayed that their wish had come true ( although i am sure the two most popular people were Wayne and Leon ).

When she announced that Wayne was captain and Leon was to be vice captain, i could here sounds of people sighing and sounds of people making shocked noises ( well, i for one, voted for Wayne to be vice captain and leon to be captain so i was half shocked and happy ). Some people like Kennedy and Yilong and Daryl were extremely angry as they did not want wayne to be captain ( i am not insulting or offending you guys, i am only stating the fact ). Personally, i am ok with Wayne being captain and i will give him my fullest support ( nice one captain )!

After that huge commotion, it was time for us to go for our PT. However, there were already people occupying the field. I acted sad as we could not play soccer but deep in my heart, i was actually elated as we could all go home early ( yay )! But, we were told to go to the parade square to play soccer by our ex-captain, Daryl (note that we have two Daryls in our table tennis team ). Then, we slowly trudged up the long flight of stairs to the parade square ( its located at the 5th floor, so high up!!! Urgh must climb so long! ).

However, a very amusing thing happened. When all of us put down our bags and the Sec 3s and 4s were busy choosing their players, the B-division captain, Ying Liang, accidentally kicked the ball with too much force which caused it to go over the wall and fall downstairs with a loud Splash! I immediately started laughing and assumed that the ball had fallen into the pond ( the shocked expression etched on Ying Liang's face was so funny!!! ). Ying Liang had to go down using the lift and carry the wet soccer ball up again. While he was downstairs retrieving the ball, Kennedy immedaitely launched into the tale of what had just happened. Everyone immediately guffawed ( some even doubled up with laughter as its not everyday you see a ball falling from the 5th floor into the pond which was on the first floor! ) .

Also, if you want to visit the table tennis blog, the link is below, but please do not spam! Thanks! XD ( smiley face )

Something unusual that happened that day

Monday 18th January 2010

Something happened that had touched my heart today. ( seriously, i almost wanted to cry ) It was during Character Education when our Form Teacher and Assistant Form Teacher Mr Li and Ms Lim respectively wanted to teach us about resilience ( i'd thought it would be a damm boring lesson but after watching the video, i thought differently) .

At first, it was quite boring. We had to split up in fours and write down on a piece of paper what was our weaknesses and how to overcome them ( well, to be honest, my only weakness is laziness as i always want to do stuff to the minimum ). After that, we were to watch some youtube video which i thought would be boring as it was obviously related to RESILIENCE.

After a while, i immediately started to think differently. The video was so TOUCHING! ( i cried a bit even! ) Sorry but i cannot talk about the video as it makes me cry. Sry! ( short form for sorry )

However, thats not the point. The point of this blog entry is to tell you guys something," Life is HARD! Don't go all weepy! Face it!" Look at that guy in the video. Even though he had no arms or legs, did you see him lie down in bed all day? NO! He at least made an effort to get up and move around everyday. He was even able to play his favourite sport, Golf. The point is, life is hard, but be willing to try. You don't have to be perfect, just give everything a try. Thats all, a try is all you need to do.

Well, its getting late. I am going to end off here today. I sure hope you guys learnt something important today. Btw (by the way ), the video is below. Hope you can see the perspective of the man inside the video! Bye!

Something that took place in school

Thursday 14th January 2010

Something very funny happened today during history lesson ( well to be honest, it almost made me laugh my guts out ).

Well, as normal, Mr Thiru walked into the classroom and started testing us about what we had learnt the previous lesson. All of us tried to be as inconspicuous as possible ( i never even got to stand up and answer his question as i was a person that could blend into the surroundings very well. Hehe... ) . After asking some people questions like, " Who founded Singapore? ", i started to doop off to sleep ( it was so so so boring, no offense Mr Thiru ) .

Suddenly, Boomz! Mr Thiru was letting us watch any video on YouTube that we chose. However, he said that he would only let us watch one video. The video started and i immediately started to pay attention as it was about Hossan Leong. When it hit the punch line, everyone started laughing," Hahahahaha!!!" (it was seriously very funny) They're all starting to laugh so hard that i could swear i saw tears forming in some of my friends' eyes. It was something like this," Piupiupiupiupiupiu stop shooting you ChaoJedi!"

Sorry but there was also a part there was very funny ( although it was a bit vulgar yet nobody cared, even Mr Thiru ) . It went like this," Welcome to my planet Nabu!" It was an extremely funny video, wasn't it guys? ( for pupils of 2A) There was also another part later in the video that made us all explode into fits of laughter. It went like this, " When you go to taiwan ar, the people don't speak english so must speak in Hokkien. Must say like this, Le kua si mi, Nan chiao? " ( only those who knew hokkien laughed and they told the others who did not know the meaning )

Well, its getting late. I'm going to end here for tonight. See ya! BB! ( short form for bye bye )

Oh yeah, if you want to see the video again, its just RIGHT BELOW!!!
